When you joined Truckspy it is likely that you subscribed to receive certain email notifications, such as your weekly IVMRs. If you suspect that you are not receiving emails that you should be receiving or that have been sent to you in the past, see the following article for help to diagnose the issue.
Step 1:
After logging into your Truckspy account, click on your name in the top left, then click Preferences.
Step 2:
Notice the box labelled Sent Notifications. Here are listed all notifications that have been sent to you along with the date and time they were sent.
Under Type look for the name of the notification you feel you should have received.
📖Note: If you haven’t received your weekly IVMRs, you will be looking for the Report Ready notification.
-
If the notification appears in this box, this means that Truckspy sent the notification and it was at least received by your email server (Yahoo, Gmail, etc.).
- Check your Spam folder.
Sometimes an attachment will be flagged and your email will go directly to your Spam or Junk folder instead of your Inbox. This can happen even if you have never had this issue in the past.
-
If the notification does NOT appear, this can mean one of three things:
- The notification was sent, but not received by your email server.
This would not be an issue on our end, but you may resolve the problem by using an alternate email address.
Under User Preferences, see the box labelled User Information.
Click Edit and enter a different email address.
-
- You are subscribed to the notification, but it was not sent by us.
On occasion an internal error prevents an email/notification from being sent out when it should have been.
If you suspect this has happened in your case, please contact Truckspy Support at support@truckspy.io for further assistance.
-
- You are not subscribed to receive the notification.
To verify this, see the box labelled Notification Settings under User Preferences. There you will see all notifications you are currently subscribed to receive, as in the example below:
To edit these settings, see the article How to Edit Personal Settings and see the section on Notification Settings.
Step 3:
Once you have resolved the issue or while you are waiting to resolve it, you may need to retrieve missing reports.
📖Note: This step mainly applies if you have not been receiving your weekly reports.
You can download the reports you need directly from Truckspy without having to wait for them to be sent to you.
See Downloading Reports for brief instructions on how to do this.
If you download the .zip file containing your weekly IVMR reports, you will have the exact same file we would have emailed to you.
Don’t hesitate to reach out to Truckspy Support at support@truckspy.io with any questions or concerns you may have.
