Why do I need to grant third party access?
A feature is now available in Truckspy that allows third party users (most likely FedEx personnel) to access customers’ reports. This means that they now have the ability to view and download IVMR reports for trucks assigned to the domiciles they oversee.
This feature will be beneficial because, among other things, they will be better able to troubleshoot issues with reports and this should minimize the possibility of reports getting lost.
In order for a third party user to be able to access your reports, you as the customer will need to grant them access to reporting profiles in your account. The following steps will explain how to do this.
📖Note: By granting access to any third party users, you are NOT allowing them to access your personal account info in Truckspy. Third party users have a separate portal that allows them ONLY to view and download reports for trucks assigned to domiciles they have access to.
Step 1
After logging into your account, go to your Reporting Profiles tab.
Step 2
Open the reporting profile that contains vehicles assigned to the specified domicile(s).
Ex: If you need to grant access to domicile [XXX] and only one of your reporting profiles contains trucks assigned to that domicile, you will need to open only that reporting profile.
If your only reporting profile is the Default Reporting Profile, select that one.
Step 3
See the box labeled Reporting Profile Information. In the dropdown menu next to Allow 3rd Party Access, select true. Click Save.
The third party user should now have access to view and download IVMRs within this reporting profile..
⚠️IMPORTANT: The third party user will NOT automatically have access to reports within domiciles they have not specifically been granted access to.
