One of the primary benefits of your TruckSpy subscription is the ability to receive weekly Individual Vehicle Mileage Reports (IVMRs) directly in your inbox, as well as to additional recipients, such as FedEx contacts.
While this article focuses on IVMRs, the same process can be used to configure notifications for other events, such as new invoices or when a truck enters or leaves a FedEx location.
Please feel free to email support@TruckSpy.io if you have questions or need assistance.
Here are the steps for configuring the scheduled sending of the weekly IVMRs.
Step 1. Log in to your TruckSpy account
Step 2. From the left side menu list, select Configuration > My Preferences
Step 3. Select the Blue Add link in the upper-right of the Notification window.
Step 4. You will then be presented with the Create Notification Settings window that allows you to customize the sending of the IVMRs.
Select the dropdown arrow / triangle in each of the fields to select the following values:
- Notify Me = with a scheduled report
- Which report = Individual Vehicle Mileage Report
- Subject = ReportingProfile: Default Profile (includes everyone with a TruckSpy login)
- Domicile Location = All Domicile Locations (all Trucks should be assigned a Domicile)
- Format = ZIP (ZIP segments the Truck into Folders based on the Domicile number)
- Period = Weekly
- CC Emails = add your email ID (Selecting the Green Plus allows you to create a distribution / cc email list for receiving the IVMRs)
Step 5. Select the Blue Save button in the lower right corner
Sent Notifications
It is important to remember that the TruckSpy integrations do not communicate with the Truck’s device. Instead, the integration agent sends the request to the device servers asking for GPS and Mileage data. TruckSpy uses the received server data marked as occurring from Monday at 00:00:01 to Sunday at 23:59:59. TruckSpy processes the data, generates the IVMRs, and then emails them so they’re in your Inbox on Tuesdays.
The Sent Notifications window tracks when IVMRs and other notifications are distributed. The Sent Notification history is helpful in determining whether your IVMRs were sent.
